Dr. Cassia de Melo
Veterinarian
Dr. de Melo was born and raised in Toronto and knew from a young age that being a veterinarian was her life calling. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2018 with a Bachelors of Science honours In Animal Biology.
Prior to starting veterinary school, she worked as an animal care attendant at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Referral Centre in the Neurology department for two and a half years.
In order to pursue her life long dream, she travelled to the beautiful island of Saint Kitts, where she completed her pre clinical veterinary studies. Dr. de Melo then completed her clinical studies at Purdue University in Indiana. Dr. de Melo has a strong passion for surgery, neurology, emergency medicine and general practice.
On her spare time, Dr. de Melo loves to scuba dive, workout, spend time with her family which includes their dog Lilly, and travelling
