Pet Travel Exams & Travel Certificates
Westway Animal Clinic is happy to help you with your pet’s travel arrangements, should you decide to bring them with you on your trip. We can assist with both domestic and international travel documentation, and perform a pre-travel examination to make sure your pet is healthy, parasite-free, and up to date with all their necessary vaccinations.
The key to ensuring the smoothest possible process for yourself and your pet is to plan as far in advance as possible to complete all their treatments and travel paperwork. You will need to research the requirements of your flight and your travel destination to make sure your pet meets them and does not end up having to be quarantined.

There are many important things to consider when planning a trip with your pet, even if it happens to be a relatively short one.
Is Your Pet Microchipped?
Before travelling with your pet, we recommend having them microchipped (if they have not been chipped already). A microchip is permanent identification for your pet and needs to be registered under your name and contact information so if your pet does get lost, anyone who scans their microchip can trace them directly to you.
Travelling can be stressful for pets, and it isn’t unheard of for animals to get lost in the midst of the journey. A microchip increases their chances of being returned safely to you.
