Annual Preventative Exams

Annual Preventative Exams

Routine preventative exams are essential to the health and longevity of every pet. We recommend seeing healthy adult dogs and cats at least once a year for a full examination, blood and fecal testing, and any vaccinations they need. Annual visits allow our doctors and staff to check your pet for issues such as lumps and bumps, bad breath, ear infections, eye redness, swelling, inflammation, and skin conditions. We have a better chance of detecting health problems at an early and more easily treatable stage if we see your pet on a regular basis.

Pet Parasite Prevention

Pet Parasite Prevention

Parasite prevention is a critical component of your pet’s care. Heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms can all be a threat to their health, and even the health of your family. Our veterinarians recommend year-round protection against all of these pests to prevent infestations and the spread of certain diseases, such as Lyme disease (spread by deer ticks) and heartworm disease, which is spread by mosquitoes.

For external and internal parasite prevention, we recommend NexGard Spectra & Combo. In accordance with existing guidelines, we recommend annual heartworm testing for pets, as heartworm disease left untreated can be fatal.
