Dr. Scarlett Korol

Veterinarian

Dr. Scarlett Korol is incredibly honoured to be a part of the Westway Animal Clinic family. She grew up in the Greater Toronto Area and can’t remember her household without pets. She knew from a very young age that working in veterinary medicine was what she was meant to do and therefore, decided to volunteer at small animal practices as well as a few specialty hospitals throughout the city during her university career. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in 2015, Dr. Korol moved away from home to the beautiful island of St. Kitts and Nevis for her pre-clinical years at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, which was an experience of a lifetime. She then lived in Madison, Wisconsin where she completed her clinical (final) year of vet school at the University of Wisconsin. It was there that she learned how much she loved anesthesiology, dermatology and small animal general practice. After graduation, Dr. Korol moved back to Toronto as she received the opportunity to pursue an internship program.

After completing her small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Referral Centre, Dr. Korol discovered her passion for emergency medicine and continues to pursue that branch of veterinary medicine today. In her spare time, Dr. Korol loves cooking (and eating!), travelling, yoga, catching up with friends from around the world and skiing with her family. She currently has a lovable – yet permanently grumpy-faced cat named Winifred.
